Kune Falls

Kune waterfalls is a popular weekend getaway as it is a tiered waterfall and falls in three stages. The top stage is the highest and most voluminous making it dangerous. The second stage is a plunge type waterfall with sheer drops. The pool created at the base of the fall is shallow and is safe. The luscious greenery surrounding the waterfall makes it a pleasing sight and is an ideal picnic spot where one can spend hours relaxing with friends and family. Kune Falls is named after a village called kune which is situated at top of the plateau near the waterfalls. It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Lonavala, Khandala valley, and is the 14th highest waterfall of India. The valley jumps to life during the monsoons with various waterfalls flowing down the mountains.

Address: Kune falls is around 3 km away from the Lonavala/khandala Railway station You can reach Kune Church by taking Mumbai – Pune Highway, and take a short walk to the waterfall.

Bhivpuri Waterfall

Bhaje waterfall

It gives the vibes of a perfect cinematic location, you can hike up the hill with your friends and family or take a dive in the sea and you can also set up a camp beside the sound of gushing waterfalls and have a relaxing time. Bhaje waterfalls of Kamshet is worth a visit.

Reverse waterfall

Reverse waterfall is a surreal experience you must see when in Lonavala. The main reasons people come here is for trekking and to see the magical reverse waterfall during the monsoons. It is truly a nature lover’s delight. The waterfall is called Reverse Waterfall because due to the high pressure of the wind, the water appears to flow back upwards which looks perfectly ethereal. You can also click some amazing photographs at this beautiful spot and inhale the greenery around you.

How to reach: Reach Samrad Village by road via Igatpuri if you are travelling from Mumbai and trek all the way to the waterfall.

Zenith waterfall

Zenith Waterfall is your ultimate dose of nature in Lonavala to experience some refreshing moments. The waterfall is located close to Old Mumbai – Pune Highway and can be easily accessed. Valvan Dam

It is located near the parking lot at Bushi Dam, which is a popular site for friends and family picnics. Pawna lake

If you are planning a camping day with your friends and family Pawna lake is the ultimate spot to chill and relax. It is one of the most fascinating camping places around Mumbai and Pune. camping on the edge of Pawna lake and watching the sunset, staying in a tent next to the lake, feeling the warmth of a campfire, and stargazing in the night is a perfect experience to escape the ordinary life. Kataldar water fall

Kataldhar waterfall is a majestic fall in lonavala giving you a chill vibe. The scenic view of the place is enjoyed by every nature lover, and you can also spend some quality time with your near ones. Above all, Kataldhar Waterfall is a hotspot for trekkers with an exciting trekking trail that lets one come face to face with nature. Since you have to put in some serious efforts to reach here, the site is rarely thronging with people. An eye shaped large cave is a prominent attraction nearby.
